Knowing Christ
Biblical teaching and conversations that help children and teenagers understand God’s Word and connect it with their lives.
CHRISTIAN MINISTRY & OUTREACH
Helping children and teenagers know Christ, grow in faith and put His love into practice.
Through Scripture, prayer, stories, music, drama and guided conversations, we help young people practise Christian faith in everyday life. Our annual outreach is one part of this ongoing programme.
The Christian ministry and outreach arm of Furst Spark Academy.
WHY WE GATHER
Colours Initiative brings children and teenagers together to learn about Jesus, worship, pray and explore what Christian faith means in the choices they make.
Telling the truth. Showing kindness to someone left out. Caring for what we have. Finding the courage to do what is right. These are the everyday moments where we want young people to practise what they learn.
Working with families, local churches and community partners, we connect spiritual growth with self-worth, wise choices and practical care for others.
THE HEART OF THE WORK
Biblical teaching and conversations that help children and teenagers understand God’s Word and connect it with their lives.
Music, prayer and thanksgiving. Time to gather, ask questions and encourage one another in faith.
Community outreach and practical support, including the clothing and household items shared through our annual gathering.
GROWING THROUGH EVERYDAY LIFE
Our Christian devotional and life guide is in development. The first pilot is designed for ages 9–12, with separate adaptations planned for younger children and teenagers. Short Bible-based stories, questions, prayers and practical actions will help children connect faith with everyday choices.
We are developing songs, animations and drama that help young people explore truthfulness, courage, kindness, responsibility and service. These resources are intended for families, churches and community learning spaces.
Supervised reading circles, devotional conversations and church partnerships are part of the programme we are building. Our annual children’s and teenagers’ crusade brings the community together for prayer, thanksgiving, God’s Word and practical care.
The guide will explore identity in God, emotions, caring for the body, personal boundaries, peer pressure, values, self-control and stewardship. Girls and boys have equal dignity and responsibility. A child who experiences abuse is never to blame.
We welcome volunteer writers, illustrators, educators, pastoral and child-safety reviewers, and qualified health professionals to review relevant content. Churches and libraries can discuss future reading-circle partnerships.
The guide is being developed and reviewed; it is not yet available for purchase or download.
